My name is Robert G. Miller. I was diagnosed in July 1988 with follicular Non-Hodgkins lymphoma. Although treatable, it's an incurable cancer where most patients survive about 10 years. I just about didn't make it myself at that point, but was fortunate to have the right treatment at the right time. Following that critical event, from medical libraries to the internet, I researched everything that had some sensible basis in science to help hold things in check while enjoying a fully active, "healthy" lifestyle. Things seemed to be working and so I began to share ideas with others, out of which developed my website http://www.LymphomaSurvival.com

It is out of the success in my own case leading into year 21, and the success of the lymphoma website, that this site on prostate survival has been developed.

Although I do not have prostate cancer myself, many of the lifestyle strategies I've developed have been a frequent mainstay for men with prostate cancer. Lately, as described in our "Overview Article", new university research specific to prostate cancer has proven scientifically to reverse gene activity governing progression of prostate cancer cells.

As far as this site goes, as valuable as communication of a proven set of lifestyle natural strategies can be, that's all I thought I'd have time to cover and still manage the lymphoma site. However, it soon became apparent that prostate cancer was a far more complex disorder than thought, especially in the initial stages following diagnosis where men REALLY need good overall, reliable, scientifically-based guidance...easily understood, as a knowledge base for discussion with the doctors.

Thus, I'm very proud to welcome the excellent research talents of Ms. Judith Oakley, Ph.D, who has compiled most of the research in the basic articles, and will be compiling the monthly newsletters, email and phone support, with the goal of making this the most comprehensive, credible, patient-to-patient source of information for integrative prostate cancer management in the world.

Judith G. Oakley, Ph.D. received her doctorate degree from the Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University and taught Strategic Management for many years at the Maine Business School. Prior to joining ProstateSurvival.com, Judith also served as the CFO for a large non profit, and has worked extensively with a variety of for profit and non profit organizations as a management consultant, helping them to develop business plans and strategies and restructure their human resource practices and policies.
